About Martin Cardy Woodwind and Brass Instrument Repair

Martin began his musical career as a professional flautist, teacher and performer. After completing an apprenticeship with a Boosey & Hawkes trained repairer, Woodwind Repairs was born in 1999.

In 2004 Martin was accepted by the National Association of Musical Instrument Repairers - N.A.M.I.R as a professional member.

In 2005 a purpose built workshop was constructed and Martin was joined by fellow N.A.M.I.R. member Richard Smith - between them they have over 40 years of repairing experience. Brass repairs were also added to the services offered.

Now well established, the business offers a comprehensive repair service to the area including local schools, music services, teachers, pupils and musicians.
